ISB MUN 2026
In 2026, ISB MUN returns as a student‑led, charitable Model United Nations conference held in Bucharest, continuing its mission to blend international diplomacy, academic rigor, and social impact.

We have the coolest venues

The opening ceremony of ISB MUN 2026 will be held in the historic Senate Room at the Parliament, offering delegates a unique opportunity to learn and understand of Romania’s political heritage. This prestigious setting sets the tone for a conference that combines tradition, diplomacy, and forward-thinking debate.
Located in the historic and vibrant city of Bucharest, Romania, The Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest is not only one of the largest administrative buildings in the world but also a symbol of Romania’s modern history and ambition. Commissioned during the 1980s, it reflects a vision of monumental architecture, combining grandiose scale, intricate detailing, and lavish interiors. The palace houses both the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, making it the heart of Romanian legislative life.
Its halls and chambers have witnessed decades of political debate, decision-making, and historical events, offering a unique blend of heritage, prestige, and cultural significance. From the opulent decorations to the striking facades, every corner of the building embodies a sense of authority and grandeur. For iSB MUN, the Palace provides an inspiring setting where delegates can experience firsthand the weight of diplomacy and leadership in a space that has shaped the nation’s history.

We go beyond debate...
At ISB MUN, we believe that great diplomacy goes hand in hand with unforgettable experiences. While debates challenge minds and develop leadership skills, our recreational program ensures that delegates can unwind, connect, and make lasting memories outside the conference room.
Participants can show off their skills in friendly football matches, where teamwork and strategy meet pure excitement on the field. For those who prefer a quicker pace, our ping-pong tournaments provide the perfect mix of friendly competition and social interaction. Alongside these, there are team-building activities, games, and interactive challenges, all designed to foster friendship, collaboration, and a sense of community among delegates from around the world.
And the excitement doesn’t stop when the debates end. ISB MUN’s after-party in the vibrant heart of Bucharest gives delegates the chance to celebrate, network, and soak in the city’s lively culture. From engaging activities to unforgettable social moments, ISB MUN ensures that every participant learns, connects, and creates memories that last a lifetime.

We are the most internatinally geared confrence in Romania
At ISB MUN, we proudly hold the title of the most internationally geared MUN conference in Romania. Every year, we bring together delegates from all across Europe, creating a truly diverse and dynamic environment where young people can exchange ideas, debate global issues, and learn from each other’s unique perspectives. Our ability to attract participants from multiple countries ensures that every committee reflects an authentic international experience, far beyond what a typical local conference can offer.
We conduct all debates in English and partner with UNICEF to tackle pressing global challenges, giving our delegates the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions that mirror real-world diplomacy. Our committees are modeled after actual United Nations bodies, and we provide detailed background guides, experienced chairs, and professional support to ensure a high-quality, immersive experience.
By consistently attracting participants from multiple countries and delivering a professional, authentic, and culturally rich MUN experience, we have earned our reputation as Romania’s most internationally geared conference. At ISB MUN, students don’t just simulate diplomacy, they live it.

We've got our own experienced chairs and mentors

Since 2025, ISB is proud to take its vision one step further by launching a charitable MUN Club at the International School of Bucharest. Meeting every Thursday, the club is designed not just as a training ground for future chairs, but as a welcoming community where students can explore the world of Model United Nations, develop essential skills, and feel part of a larger mission. We focus on providing experienced and qualified chairs who can guide delegates, offering mentorship, support, and hands-on experience in research, debate, and diplomacy.
But the club is about more than training chairs — it’s about securing the continuity of the ISB project and nurturing a genuine passion for MUN in the next generation. By giving students regular exposure to debate, UN procedures, and global issues, we hope to inspire them to become thoughtful, engaged leaders who carry forward the ISB spirit. The ISB MUN Club is our way of planting the seeds for a lifelong love of international dialogue, critical thinking, and active participation in shaping the world.
